Senior Assembler

SEA Canada is looking for an experienced Electro‑Mechanical Assembler to join our growing manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role ideal for an experienced professional who enjoys building, wiring, and testing complex machinery in a high-quality, high-reliability environment. Given the defence-related nature of our work, this position requires professionalism, discretion, and strict adherence to safety and security standards.

What You’ll Do
As a Senior Electro‑Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and integrating mechanical and electrical components to create complex systems and equipment. Key responsibilities include:
- Assemble and install mechanical parts, subassemblies, and electrical components following technical drawings and blueprints
- Perform wiring of electrical panels, wire harnesses, and cable assemblies using crimping, soldering, and brazing techniques
- Interpret and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
- Conduct functional, electrical, and continuity testing to ensure assemblies meet required standards, such as CSA and UL
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or electrical issues during the assembly process
- Use a variety of hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble components
- Maintain accurate assembly documentation, including as-built records and modifications
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working with both electrical and mechanical systems.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in electro‑mechanical assembly or a related area
- Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
- Solid mechanical aptitude, including fastening, alignment, and calibration of components
- Experience wiring control panels, performing crimping and soldering
- IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 certification considered an asset
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment such as multimeters
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods (8+ hours), including bending, kneeling, and crouching
- Good manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination
Security
- You must be able to obtain a Canadian Security Clearance
