Liaising with customers, suppliers, project teams and subject matter experts on technical issues relating to system design, implementation, and verification.
Mechanical Engineer will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role allows for flexible working.
The salary for this role is up to £44k, depending on experience.
What you’ll be doing
- Produce technical documentation inc. Drawings, Test Specs, Trials Plans & Reports
- Conduct trials and testing locally and off site
- Support production staff as required
- Work alongside production staff during practical stages of development of products
- Work with other Engineers to design and prove technical solutions
- Work to performance and delivery targets
- Identify technical risks within the team and project areas with support from senior staff
- Report their progress on tasks clearly and identify areas of conflict and blockers to progress
- Prioritise workload with support from line manager and more senior members of staff
- Manage their time effectively
- Complete mechanical designs and develop to perform analysis using SEA approved tools (Solidworks)

The skills you need
- Relevant Degree within Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Mechanical Design Engineering Experience
- Interpretation and Implementation - Small/Intricate level design
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Experience within SolidWorks – 3D Modelling and drawing
- Hands on experience working with Prototypes
