We have an impactful and exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer, that has experience in Solidworks, to join our existing team in Barnstaple. You will provide Mechanical Engineering input into the design and development of company products and projects.

What you’ll be doing
- Mechanical Engineering CAD Design and Manufacturing Data Packs, working closely with product team members. Maturing designs through the Design Lifecycle to Prototype and Qualification. Configuration Controlled documentation.
- Be accountable and responsible for their performance with support from senior members of staff and their line manager.
- Be a team player with good communication and people skills, dynamic and driven, with a desire to improve knowledge and understanding.
- Develop to confidently produce the technical solution and be capable of describing it adequately to senior members of staff to ensure it is well defined, optimised and understood.
- Work with Project Managers to support the provision of accurate progress reports and escalate emergent risks and issues.
The skills you need
- Experience with Solidworks CAD package.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- An ability to work independently to project milestone deadlines.
- A passion for working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills and an attention to detail.
